The world has a record-breaking 2.3 million cases of the coronavirus and more than 1.3 billion cases worldwide, according to the World Health Organization.
That’s a staggering rise of 1.4 billion cases since the beginning of the pandemic in late 2013.
So far this year, the world recorded 742,958 deaths, a 6.2 percent rise over last year.
The coronavid outbreak began in China in March, but the pandemics latest round has made it hard to accurately count cases, said Dr. Andrew Weintraub, director of the CDC.
“We’re not really in a position to measure the impact of the new coronaviruses,” he told ABC News.
That is why the CDC has put together a list of countries with the most cases of COVID-19.
The list includes a few countries that have been hit hard by the virus, including the Philippines, Bangladesh, India and Indonesia.
Here’s a look at the countries with most COVID deaths: The Philippines has had the highest number of coronavids deaths since the start of the outbreak, with 1,854 confirmed cases.
It is the third-most-affected country in terms of the total number of confirmed cases, behind the United States and Saudi Arabia.
The country has seen an increase in COVID cases and deaths as a result of the virus spreading in the country, Weintrac said.
More: Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte has repeatedly accused the US of being responsible for the coronajovirus outbreak.
Duterte has said the US is the biggest COVID promoter in the entire world, and has called for an investigation into the United Nations to determine the reason behind its inaction.
The Philippines is the only country on the list of states with the highest proportion of COV-19 deaths.
India is in third place, with 531 confirmed cases and 9,081 deaths, with more than 5 percent of its population affected.
The United Kingdom and Ireland are in fourth place, at 7,976 confirmed cases with 4,879 deaths.
The countries with highest number in terms the proportion of deaths were the United Kingdom with 10.2 per cent, followed by the United Arab Emirates with 8.9 per cent and the Netherlands with 7.7 per cent.
The UK had the most deaths, followed closely by the Netherlands and India.
Here are the top five countries with COVID fatalities: The Netherlands has the highest COVID death rate of the top 10.9 deaths per 100,000 population.
The Netherlands also has the fifth highest number deaths per capita, with about 14,000 deaths per year.
It also has one of the highest coronaviral deaths per 1,000 people.
In contrast, India has the second-highest COVID fatality rate at 1.23 per 100 000 population.
Australia and Germany are tied with a COVID mortality rate of 1 per 100 million population.
In Australia, there are nearly 16,000 confirmed COVID infections per year, which is more than double the UK rate of 2.8 per 100.000.
India has one COVID case per every 100,00 population, and Germany has the third highest COVR rate at 8.7.
Australia has seen its total number COVID infection numbers decrease from 4.5 million in April to 3.7 million in June.
It has been reported that the new virus could cause serious complications in the United states, particularly for older adults and those with preexisting conditions.
Weintrax said there is evidence that older adults who live in the Philippines have more severe symptoms and more COVIDs than those in the Netherlands.
It said the Philippines is facing a huge pandemic and could not wait to deal with COV.
“There are a lot of health care providers in the area who have no knowledge about the new COVID, who have never been exposed to it before, and there’s not a lot they can do,” he said.
We intrac said the country is facing the challenge of addressing COVID.
“The Philippines is one of those countries that’s not even being tested for COVID as of yet, which makes it a real challenge,” he added.
